The David Lyle Foundation helps young executives build successful careers in the international television business.

It embodies the principles of its ‘patron saint’ David Lyle, the much-loved and respected entertainment industry executive, who passed away in 2017. David was mentor to many in the business, and dedicated much of his time to supporting creativity, opportunity and career development, US$5000 of which goes towards flights, hotels and expenses

The David Lyle Foundation provides scholarships worth US$10,000 each to two young people each year, with the aim of helping them develop meaningful careers in the international television business.

Each scholarship includes VIP access to the leading international markets and festivals, a mentor program, and a suite of complimentary subscriptions to leading trade publications and organisation services.

The scholarships are designed to allow two fledgling executives to travel to key markets and festivals worldwide to build their knowledge of the global business, supported by an advisory board of key executives in the sector.

We aim to recognise and inspire next generation leaders, who aim to make a difference in the sector, and who share the values of namesake David Lyle and are seeking remarkable people that reflect the values and aspirations of a creative executive of the future:
